Then the solid-clouds are most firm when they are driest. However, too little water and they become crumbly like sand, and fall apart. This could mesh nicely with the Fay Dust method of formation. Not sure what solid-clouds are yet. They are more solid than real world clouds, but they don't have to be much more solid. Perhaps ranging from the firmness of new-fallen snow to that of springy moss. It could be very difficult to tell also, making walking on solid-clouds treacherous. Sky Vines grow into, and from, solid-clouds.
